Our Speakers for 2013

Ruslan Maliuta

Ruslan serves as International Facilitator of the World Without Orphans movement, and his passion is to advocate for the fatherless. He has more than 12 years of experience in child welfare, working with NGOs, churches, and the government. Ruslan has co-authored books about adoption and street children.

Simeon Havyarimana

Simeon Havyarimana has the passion to see the transformation of the youth and children in Africa. He was key in the reconciliation program in Burundi when his country was in tribal war. He has leadership experience with Hope International, Geneva Global, Scripture Union and International Bible Society. He is currently the Africa Representative of David C. Cook.

Miguel Enriquez

Miguel has served as a Family Life Pastor and Pastor of Spanish Ministries for 5 years, founding a Spanish church and bringing kingdom transformation. He has been a teacher, led ministry trips, and directed camps. Miguel has also served as Children’s Pastor and founded two Christian-based preschool programs. He teaches in the Children’s and Family Major program at CFNI.

Kathleen Chapman

Kathleen has worked with children’s theater and children’s ministries for more than 35 years. She is the author of four books relating to children’s theater including Teaching Kids Authentic Worship (in its 8th printing). Kathleen has a passion for kids to meet and fall in love with Jesus.

Ricardo Luna

Ricardo is President of CONELA, the Evangelical Alliance of Latin America. He serves as the Latin America Director for OneHope. Previously, he served with Open Doors as Latin America Director. Ricardo served in ministry to the persecuted church for 23 years, and is currently serving in the Strategy Working Group for the Lausanne Movement.He has been instrumental in the 4/14 Movement and is passionate about transformation.

Steve Bartel

Steve Bartel's favorite title is what children call him: "Papito." (Daddy). That's because he and his wife Evi have raised dozens of kids in their family over the past 35 years!

Steve was born in Colombia and grew up in a missionary family. When he was 19, God called him to work with streetkids. He became a teacher and holds a Master's degree in Education. Steve and Evi currently lead "Formando Vidas" a multi-stage Youth With A Mission ministry to "children at risk" in Bogota.
