History

The Global Children’s Ministry Conference began in the hearts of Kidzana leaders over five years ago. Seeing a new generation of leaders emerging all over the world, they recognized the urgent need to further prepare them for visionary, skilled and excellent outreach, and discipleship work with children in their own nations, organizations and communities. After much prayer and exploration, God clearly gave the green light to move forward.

Grain de Ble in Lebanon, with its long history of partnership and networking in the Middle East, shared this vision for equipping. Together, Grain de Ble and Kidzana presented the first Global Children’s Ministry Conference in Lebanon in September of 2010. Over 250 leaders from 40 nations gathered for this inspiring event. It was an exciting beginning.

The team of global partners has grown, with leaders from the 4/14 Children’s Spirituality Track, the 1 for 50 training movement and other NGO, ministry and publishing leaders joining the team.

The organizing team recognized our unique focus on equipping and changed our name to “Global Children’s Ministry EQUIP” (or gcmEQUIP). We’re committed to creating a platform where leaders in ministry to and with children can come to learn, share their experiences, receive encouragement, acquire new information, gain perspective, and find new friends and partners to help them reach and disciple even more children for Christ in their spheres of influence around the world.

Our passion: To prepare a new generation of frontlines leaders from around the world for excellence in reaching and disicpling today’s children.
