Kathleen Chapman

gcmEQUIP Keynote Speaker - Kathleen ChapmanKathleen Chapman has worked with children’s theatre and children’s ministries for more than 35 years. 

She is the author of four books relating to children’s theater, and her newest book Teaching Kids Authentic Worship is heading for its 8th printing. Kathleen has a passion for kids to meet and fall in love with Jesus Christ.

As the president of Star P.A.K. Christian Theatre, she also writes, directs, produces and teaches children’s theater for schools and churches. While the director of Maranatha!Music’s Kids Praise! Company, she produced and directed musical recordings for Focus on the Family.

Her love for kids, expertise in their world, and zany personality has also resulted in numerous TV and radio appearances. Kathleen and her husband of 40 years, Duane, live in San Clemente, California. They are the parents of three married children, all in full-time ministry, and grandparents to NINE with one on the way- making it 10 grandchildren under 10!

Stephen Langa

gcmEQUIP Keynote Speaker - Stephen LangaExecutive Director  of the East African Coordinator of the Samaritan Strategy Africa (SSA) movement that is working to bring transformation on the African continent through the Church. Stephen pioneered the Uganda chapter of the SSA movement now operating as “Transforming Nations Alliance” (TNA). He also founded Family Life Network (FLN), a Ugandan-based NGO that was started in 2002 and is working towards the restoration of family values and morals in Uganda. He has been spearheading the national celebrations of the yearly UN International Day of Families (IDF).

Stephen is among the original pioneers of the sex education programs in Ugandan schools and HIV prevention through behaviour change and being faithful in marriage. Stephen himself has been married since 1984 to Beatrice. They have two children: a daughter (25) who is now married and a son (24). 

Dr. John Gollapalli

Dr. John Gollapalli is incharge-Bishop of the “Agape Conference” of the Free Methodist Church of India (FMCI). He is a graduate of South India Biblical Seminary (SIBS) and Union Biblical Seminary (UBS). In 1978 he founded COUNT (Christian Outreach Uplifting New Tribes) as a mission society. As a result of its ministries among various people (ethnic) groups, many churches were planted. Consequently, “Agape Fellowship of Churches” was formed in 1994 and affiliated to FMC in the year 2000. He is a gifted preacher, bible teacher and mission leader. God blessed the ministries under his leadership and multiplied the Churches among the “once” unreached people groups. Praise the Lord!

 

Simon

gcmEQUIP Keynote Speaker - SimonSimon has been involved in full-time ministry to children for 25 years as a puppeteer, trainer, writer, animator, director, designer, and resource developer. He currently serves a number of global children's and youth projects with specific emphasis on creativity, sports, and media, and trains leaders in many places. 

Simon's passion is to see excellent children's work happen across the world, and seeks to increase innovative thinking and partnership. Simon lives in Sydney, Australia and has a beautiful wife and no children, yet.

 

Marlene LeFever

Vice President, Educational Development at Global Mission David C Cook, Marlene is currently developing an orphan club program, 2011-2012, and testing it in a dozen orphanages among a thousand children in India. The only program of its type, it includes weekly sessions on Bible storying, character development and life skills, and is designed to be used by laypeople in a number of cultures.

Her Christian education textbooks, Learning Styles and Creative Teaching Methods, have been published in Dutch, Portuguese, Chinese, Spanish, Arabic, and Russian. She is included in a resource base of significant Christian educators in the last 100 years, a project funded by the Lilly Foundation. She has done cross-cultural Christian education ministry in India, Mexico, Philippines, Australia, Brazil, Guatemala, Lebanon, Jordan, and China.

 

Rudi Mans

Rudi Mans and his wife have been involved in children’s ministry since 1985. They then attended Kilchzimmer Institute with CEF. 
Rudi joined Petra in 1993 after he studied to be a pastor. While in the pastorate, he always worked with children. They then joined Petra as missionaries. Rudi has headed Petra’s training division for the last 10 years, and is currently busy with his PhD in children’s ministry. His expertise is the training of leaders in children’s ministry and strategic planning processes. Rudi has a deep passion and commitment for children.
Rudi and his wife have two wonderful daughters and four grandchildren, with whom they get firsthand experience in raising a new generation.
