Pre-Conference Intensives
May 22 (one-day training clinics): On Tuesday, May 22, there will be six different in-depth training clinics being offered to enhance your conference experience. You may only choose ONE clinic to attend for the full day. (If you are coming with others, perhaps you can divide up and each attend a different Clinic).
**NOTE: shorter workshops on these topics will be presented throughout the general conference.

Sports Ministry Training Clinic

Bible Max Curriculum Writer's Workshop 
Presenters: Max7 Curriculum/Training Team
Description: Have you ever wanted to get better at writing your own Bible lessons? Come and learn a global method, used by over 60 nations, to create powerful, creative and active lessons. You will be taken through a series of steps, be stretched in your thinking and then end with a lesson and method that will help you for years to come. This is a hands-on and practical workshop. If you have a laptop, bring it. If not, it won't matter.
Character Solutions International Training
Presenters: John and Jan Garmo
Description: Learn how to equip adults to inspire Christ-like transformation of character for their sake, for the sake of their relationship with God, and for their relationship with those they serve. The CSI Seminar has been presented around the world to Ministry of Education Officials, Directors of Continuing Education, School Headmasters (School Principals), Educational Administrators, Classroom Educators and Community Leaders. This seminar considers how to develop ten core character qualities personally and among the children they influence. Participants will depart with more than four weeks of character-building lesson plans and ideas.

Creating and Leading a Successful Puppet Ministry
Presenters: Dale vonSeggen and team
Description: This in-depth intensive will cover all the important aspects of planning, organizing, and leading a successful puppet ministry with the discipleship of team members at its core and strong focus on evangelistic outreach. We will cover definition and purpose of puppet ministry, learn the types of puppets, practice basic puppetry skills, discuss the importance and structure of rehearsals, select material, and spend considerable time developing hands-on confidence in being a puppeteer. We will also learn how to teach the basic skills of moving-mouth hand puppetry to others. Above all, we will emphasize the power of puppetry and the importance of a clear Biblical message.
Leadership Development Workshop
Description: Taught by children's ministry veterans, this workshop will help children's workers develop the skills, acquire the tools and grow the heart needed to be an exceptional leader in children's ministry. Work with other world-class leaders to foster a mind, heart and soul for leading others.
NEW! Celebrating Children: Working with Children at Risk
Presenter: Dr. Glenn Miles
Description: This workshop will be taught by the asia director of prevention for www.Love146.org, Dr. Glenn Miles who is based in Cambodia. Developed by a consortium of trainers and practitioners in partnership with Viva, the Celebrating Children course seeks to equip christian leaders to work with children at risk covering the basics of God's heart for children, child protection, evaluation and monitoring, listening to children/child participation, caring for staff and self etc. The course is currently in it's 10th year in Cambodia and has been run in many other countries in Asia and Africa. This workshop will introduce participants to how to run the course with a network of churches and Christian NGOs using the resources that have been created on the www.celebratingchildrentraining.info .
After the Conference
May 26-30: Ministry Team to Border Refugee Camps
The military government of Myanmar has been fighting, killing and destroying the homes and villages of the Karen people within their country for many years. Thousands of these Karen people have fled their homeland in order to survive and are now living in refugee camps along the border inside Thailand. This outreach team will bring them needed supplies and more importantly, bring them the love of Christ.
